AC/DC post!

AC/DC is a very well known rock band that was formed in 1973. AC/DC is from Australia and was formed by two brothers, Malcom and Angus young. They have gone thru several different band members thoughout the years. The starting band members were Malcom and Angus, Dave Evans and Phil Rudd. In 1974 Dave Evans( lead vocals) was replaced by Bon scott. Bon Scott died on the 19th of Febuary 1980 after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The band then though of ending but Scotts parents urged them to hire a new lead singer and continue. Other former band members were, Mark evans(bass guitar,backing vocals-1975 to 1977), Simon Wright(drums, precussion-1983 to 1989) and Chris Slade(drums, precussion-1989 to 1994). The current band members are Brian Johnson(lead vocals), Angus Young(lead guitar), Malcom Young(rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Cliff Williams(bass guitar, backing vocals) and Phill Rudd( drums, precussion). There name ( AC/DC) came from when there older sister Margaret seen the initials " AC/DC" on a sewing machine. That stands for Alternating Current/Direct Current. They felt that the initials symbolised there bands raw energy. MTV show " greatest heavy metal band of all time " ranked AC/DC number seventh on their list, and Rolling Stone ranked them #72 in the list of the "100 greatest artist of all time". They have won 1 grammy award and were nominated 7 times. In march of 2003 AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. AC/DC has released 16 mind blowing albums in there carrer. Here is a few of there albums that you may know, T.N.T (1975), Back in Black(1980), Let there be rock(1977), Highway to hell(1979) and Black ice there most recent from 2008.
