Anberlin!

Anberlin is a band that is becoming well know with there recent few albums released. Members of anberlin had created a band in the late 90's. That band was called SaGoh 24/7 and they released 2 studio albums but eventually chose to stop that band. Anberlin formed in 2002 and come from winter haven, florida. There music style is Alternative rock. They currently have 3 labels. Those 3 labels are Tooth & Nail, Island and Universal republic. Anberlin had 5 band members. Those 5 band members are, Stephen Christian (lead vocals), Joseph Milligan (lead guitar, backing vocals), Deon Rexroat (bass), Nathan Young (drums), and Christian McAlhaney (rhythm guitar and backing vocals). They also currently have a touring member with them. They currently have 5 albums released. There first album (blueprints for the black market) was released in 2003, and has sold over 60,000 albums.  Anberlin's album "new surrender" did very well. Within 2 weeks of its release it had sold well over 45,000 copies in the United-States alone. It was in the top 100 for 3 weeks on the billboard 200. This album had a very succesfull song called, Feel good drag. Feel good drag is my favorite song by them. The first time I heard this song I instantly liked it. Hollywood Undead!

Hey guys, I decided to do Hollywood Undead since i am going to see them in concert in about a week and a half. Hollywood undead is a rap rock genre. Rap rock means it is a mixture of rap elements and different forms of rock. The band is from Los Angeles California. The band was formed in 2005 from a song that was titled "the kids" that was posted on there myspace page to get good reviews. That song was a success and started off there music carrer. All the band members have a fictitious. Here are there stage names. I will only be writing the name they are called in the band and the instrument they play and will not write there real name along with it. Charlie scene (vocals and lead guitar), Da Kurlzz (drums and vocals), Danny (clean vocals), J-dog (Rhythm guitar, keyboard, programming, synthesizers and vocals), Johnny 3 tears (vocals) and last but not least, Funny man (vocals). They currently have 1 album released and have another album set to release around April of 2011 called, American Tragedy. There first album (Swan songs) took them one year but took them 2 years to find a label to sign with that will not censor there album. They found that label and signed with them (A&M/Octone records). Some of there well known songs are, Undead, Everywhere I go, no.5, california, and many more. One of my favorite songs are Everywhere I go and undead. Avenged Sevenfold! (part 2)

Hope part one was not to boring. Lets start here with there current band members. There current band members are, Matthew Shadows (lead vocals), Zacky Vengeance (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Synyster gates (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Johnny Christ (bass and backing vocals). They currently do not have a drummer as part of there band but they do have a studio and a touring drummer. They currently have 5 studio albums released. There most recent album called, nightmare was released in 2010. Nightmare reached #1 on the billboard 200 selling more than 162, 000 copies. Avenged sevenfold has a logo that was created by a highschool friend. The logo is named "the deathbat" and is basically a skull with bat wings on it. The deathbat has been on all the bands albums to date. Some of there very well known songs are Nightmare, afterlife, bat country,almost easy, and many many more very well done songs. My favorite song right now would probably have to be welcome to the family and nightmare off there latest album. Avenged sevenfold! (part 1)

Well the idea to do a blog on Avenged sevenfold came to me after looking up there upcoming concert in detroit michigan feb 5th that I am hopefully going to be attending. Hopefully this 2 part blog wont be to boring for you readers. I will try my best to make it not boring. Avenged sevenfold is a hard rock/ heavy metal band from, Huntington beach California. The band formed during 1999. There currently label'd with 3 company's being Warner bro, hopeless and good life records.Band member Matthew Shadows came up with the name Avenged sevenfold from the story that is in the bible called Cain and Abel. They were still in highschool when they released there debut album called sounding the seventh trumpet in 2001. The band has received much credit worldwide for there success. Also have earned much success with there band member's talents on there instruments, such as there former drummer who recently last year passed away who was called The Rev.  James Sullivan aka "the rev" passed away late december of 2009 due to heart failure and drug intoxication. It was a terrible loss to the band and there fans. The rev was a very talented drummer and was making his way to the hall of fame. Please contine to part 2 of the avenged sevenfold blog.

Motley Crue!

Motley crue is a well known rock/ heavy metal band, that was formed in 1981. The band was formed in Los Angeles, California. The band members for Motley Crue are Vince Neil(vocals, harmonica and rhythm guitar), Mick Mars(lead guitar and backing vocals), Nikki Sixx(bass and backing vocals) and Tommy Lee(drums and piano). Motley Crue has been described as a insperation to several bands, some of these bands being Slipknot, papa roach, linkin park, and many many more. Motley crue has played over 30 concerts and tours in there carrer. One of there well known tours that was put on 3 years so far is called crue fest.  They have toured with many well know and respected bands. Some of the bands are, Aerosmith, The scorpions, buckcherry and many many more. Motley crue had been nominated for over 8 awards and have won two of those 8 nominations. They have released nine albums during there carrer so far. There most recent one called saints of los angeles(2008). Motley crue has sold over 80 million albums worldwide. One of my favorite song by motley crue is shout at the devil. Some more very popular songs by them are, Girls girls girls, smokin' in the boys room, and home sweet home. Rock news and updates!

Hey guys just though I would write a blog on some new rock info. First of all I would like to talk about some upcoming rock concerts for the windsor/detroit area for all you local readers. On tuesday (25th) Linkin park will be performing there world tour a thousand suns, at the Joe Louis arena in detroit michigan. On the 28th of April, All time low will be playing at the fillmore detroit along with yellowcard, the summer set and hey monday. Prices start at 33.25$ tax included.  And last on the list for upcoming concerts is Avenged sevenfold playing with Hollywood undead and Stone sour. They will be performing at the palace of auburn hills saturday february 5th. That will be one amazing concert! Yellowcard is set to release a album march 22nd called "when you're through thinking say yes", but the date may change for the release. There is currently 27 bands set to rock the stage, one of them being abandon all ships. July 8th the warped tour will be making a stop at comerica park in detroit. Aerosmith (part 2)!

Hope you enjoyed part one of this 2 part blog. Here is some more information on Aerosmith one of the greatest bands ( at least I think so). In June of 2008 the band released a video game called guitar hero Aerosmith that is dedicated to there music after working closely with the guitar hero company. I purchased this game in 2008 and found it to be a very well done game on there part. The current band members are Steven Tyler( lead vocals), Joe Perry(backing vocals, guitar), Brad Whitford( guitar), Tom Hamilton( bass) and Joey Kramer( drums). The band currently has 14 studio albums released. One album with great success was "toys in the attic" which earned 8x platinum. Some of aerosmith's most well charted singles were, I dont want to miss a thing (#1), Angel(#3), Janie's got a gun(#4), Dream on(#6), as well as over a dozen more singles. My personal favorite song by aerosmith would have to be I dont want to miss a thing, as well as dream on. Aerosmith with there major success has starred in several tv shows. One of them tv shows was the simpsons and Saturday night live. Aerosmith has play about 2 dozen concert tours with several well know rock artist, one of them being ZZ Top as well as Cheap Trick. Aerosmith has gone on to win several well deserved awards in there music carrer. Finally to conclude this 2 part blog here is a song by aerosmith. Enjoy!!

Aerosmith (part 1)!

This blog will be a 2 part blog about the music carrer of Aerosmith. Aerosmith has recieved tons of success in there music carrer. Aerosmith is sometimes referred to " America's greatest rock and roll band". I have to agree with that quote, they are a fantastic rock band and personally one of my favorite classic rock and roll bands. There currently label'd with geffen and columbia records. Aerosmith was formed  in Boston Massachusettes in 1970. The band name Aerosmith came from the band member Joey Kramer, who said when he was in school he would write Aerosmith all over his notebooks. They band eventualy decided to keep aerosmith after many other name ideas such as the bananas. Aerosmith was among the most popular rock bands in the world by the end of the 70's. Aerosmith just like many other rock bands had there problems with band members getting into drugs. At one point Joe Perry and Brad Whitford Left the band for about 4-5 years due to drugs but came back in 1984 and the band sobered up to carry on with there success. They have sold over 150 million albums worldwide and more than 66 million in the united states. In 2001 Aerosmith was introduced into the rock and roll hall of fame. Continue to part two!

Heavy metal.

Today I am going to talk about the genre of music Heavy metal (metal). Metal music started coming around late 60's and early 70's. It was introduced mainly in the United States as well as United Kingdom. Heavy metal is know for there extended guitar solo's, massive sound and loudness. Some of the first metal bands were, deep purple, judas priest, led zepplin and black sabbath. I personally like these four bands a lot. Fans who enjoy and listen to metal are commonly known as "metalheads". From the main genre there grew many many more different metal genre's ex here are a few sub genre's of metal, death metal, glam metal, speed metal and stoner rock.  Most metal song lyrics are based on dark or depressing subjects.  An example of the subject is the song by black sabbath called fairies wear boots. That song is talking about the side affects of taking drugs to you and your body. some physical gestures of this music while at a concert or just listening to it are, head banging, devil horns. Also there is crown serfing and air guitar, but the most popular of all at a concert is moshing. The metal fashion is mostly long hair to symbolise hate, jeans, black t-shirt, leather or jean jacket and boots. Well there is much more to metal than just that so if u would like to know more im sure u can find a lot on the internet. Now here is one of my favorite song by Black sabbath.

Hinder

Hinder is a very well known rock band from Oklahoma, United states. They formed in 2001 by band members Austin Winkler, Cody Hanson, and Joe Garvey. It wasent till 2003 that the 2 other band members joined the band. The 2 new band members were Mark King and Mike Rodden. All the original members are still together as one in the band to this day. They have some very mellow sorta love songs such as "Lips of an angel" as well as hard rock songs such as there new song " All American Nightmare". In 2007 Hinder was inducted into the music hall of fame in Oklahoma. Hinder have playes in several tours along with music festivals. Some tours they have played are Girls gone wild tour, Take it to the limit summer tour 2009, 2010 summer tour, and many more. They have had the oportunity to play with many great bands such as Theory of a deadman, Nickelback, Papa roach, buckcherry, ect. They currently have 3 studio albums released. There 3 albums are extreme behavior (2005), Take it to the limit( 2008) and there most recent one that was released December 7th All american nightmare(2010). There most well charted songs are, Better than me, Use me, Without you, Get stoned, and there song with incredible success Lips of an angel earning 3x platinum in the US. A Day To Remember!!

A Day To Remember is one of my most favorite bands currently. There genres that they sing are Metalcore, Pop punk, Emo and post-hardcore. There origin is Ocala Florida USA. The band was founded in 2003 by drummer Bobby Scruggs and guitarist Tom Denny. They currently have released 8 music videos, 4 studio albums and 9 singles. In 2003 then band formed after all the original members joined together after all playing in different groups in Ocala. The "Original members" were Jeremy McKinnon ( singer),  Neil Westfall and Tom Denny (guitarist), Joshua Woodard (bassist) and Bobby Scruggs (drummer). There Labels are Victory and Indianola. They currently have 4 studio albums released. Those four albums are, And there name was treason( 2005), For those who have heart(2007), Homesick(2009) and there most recent album What separates me from you(2010). There new album is personaly my favorite along with Homesick. ADTR recently was featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I did not have the oportunity to watch them on Jimmy Kimmel but i wish i did get to see it. Some of there most well known songs are The downfall of us all, have faith in me, all I want, and the plot to bomb the panhandle.
